I don't think there is any point in deliberately harassing a section of the community, at the same time I don't see any point in bringing in more potential suicide bombers or murderers.
The crowd I saw on the ABC wont get anywhere, the Mosque will be built.
People see them as a breeding ground for Islamic extremists and they're not entirely wrong.
I think the breeding ground is a virtual world, not in Australian mosques.
High school student Farhad Jabar was recruited by a group of western Sydney extremists to carry out a terrorist attack because they thought they were under too much surveillance to do it themselves, police believe.
CCTV from Parramatta Mosque, now in the hands of police, shows several men meeting Jabar at the mosque on Friday, hours before the quiet year 10 student walked to the Parramatta police headquarters and shot accountant Curtis Cheng, 58, in the back of the head.

The breeding ground is wherever there is a lack of opportunity and hope in the future, lack of education, cultures isolated by fear and hate and intolerance.
And it has nothing to do with religion. Although you will often find the religious using such breeding grounds to their own means.

In that sense, members of the UPF are probably more like those they claim to hate than they realise.

I think it is all about religion. And it has nothing to do with religion. Although you will often find the religious using such breeding grounds to their own means.

I think it has everything to do with religion.
I heard or read....the Koran was a doctrine of peace then somewhere along the way that ceased and after that it was all, kill the infidels etc etc
Not sure where I heard it ......
Everything to do with religion?
Nothing to do with the fact that maybe they don't like seeing their people subjugated and have dictators forced on them and foreign bases on their ancestral land and turning their already desert landscape into flattened cities now with chemicals and explosives that causes cancer and birth defects?
A lot of conflict in the M.E. is Muslim sect vs another Muslim sect.
Syria is now basically about Sunni Muslims vs Assad's Shiites, and you wouldn't get that if there was no religion involved.
