BCN - Beacon Minerals

Back from "Suspension" today. Hoping for some love from the market after they give full details of their recent acquisition. :bookworm:

I hope I have not Stolen Your Thunder @barney but didn't see you being a follower until I had entered BCN in the April Stock Pick Competition.

I see BCN's Chart at an interesting juncture and with Gold it seems on everyones lips it makes sense to enter BCN in this months competition. It has been a very hard time in the market lately to make any sense of a lot that has been going on with my portflio taking a bit of a hammering.
The one thing I can take from my experience is there are definately times in the market to do nothing.........I have been a slow learner

More than happy for you to win the Monthly comp with BCN @bux2000 In fact I insist you do win, lol

As for being a slow learner, I wish I could have my last 12 months over again as well. We battle on however. :inpain:

My turn this month @bux2000  I have chosen my old mate BCN in the monthly competition for May.

Lots of action going on in the "board room" recently with acquisitions, site refurbishment and suggestions of even larger acquisitions coupled with a possible share consolidation.

The Beacon chaps are very proactive. They have made quite a tidy sum from a modest mine and paid some pretty fair dividends in recent years.

If the POG remains healthy, they look to be undervalued compared to many other Spec hopefuls. (Discl. ... I am a long term holder)

You are very welcome to pick up the batten for BCN and carry it on to greater things.

All the best with it ................we don't mention luck in this game. ;)

Señor Barney, one good cross-promotion deserves another.

As you mentioned in the DLI thread:

.... Mt Ida lithium project, about 100km northwest of Menzies.
Interesting that my "mates" at Beacon Minerals (BCN for some shameless cross promotion, lol:smug:), are in the process of acquiring the Lady Ida tenements next door, to help increase their potential Gold development.
..and the interesting bit
Mineral rich area it seems

..my question; are we likely to see BCN throw out an Announcement to the Market with Lithium mentioned? Or are they just focussed on gold?

Could you shine some light on Beacon?

Indeed!

As far as I understand Beacon have/are only purchasing Gold rights at Lady Ida DF. So essentially a Gold play.

It has been a frustrating Stock in some ways but not unrewarding. The SP seems to endlessly tread water even though they are a proactive Company.

Basically a minnow Goldie who somehow tuned a lowish grade resource into a bit of a mini cash cow (Good management)

They have also paid out around $25 million (I think) in dividends over the last couple of years. They are cash flow positive and maintain around +$8 million in the bank .. While at the same time have funded new resource purchases from profits.

They do have a "squillion" SOI, but the word on the street (from the Company itself in fact), is they are looking at a possible combined new purchase and a possible simultaneous Share consolidation.

In essence, the boys at the helm are Gold miners, have a lot of skin in the game, and appear to be working towards a longer term plan.

The only thing that hasnt happened (yet), is a genuine and sustained Share price appreciation. :bored:

I've always seen them as undervalued, and even more so now they have upgraded their available resources.

I hold quite a few in anticipation ..... Patience required:sleep:

Thats the short story DF.

Announcement today that The Lady Ida deal is getting pretty close to fruition ...... and the market went wild with 1 trade of 48 cents ...lol

Once they get the remaining I's dotted and T's crossed I think they will get at least double that trading interest :nailbiting::happy:

Musing for no particular reason ...

BCN still continues to frustrate we long term holders with zero SP advancement.

I live in hope!

The Lady Ida deal is currently in limbo after the ASX picked up on a couple of anomalies by Company Management :(

I think they will sort the deal out, but they need to build a bit more positive "market support" from we average punters/shareholders.

Pretty much a safe Spec, but also under performing SP wise.

I think their day in the sun is not too far down the track, but I have been thinking that for a couple of years or more:confused:

Still not much on the SP appreciation, but BCN management again being proactive in purchasing a "ready to dig" hole in the ground with what appears plenty of gold. Normally I would be holding and hoping with Specs but with this one its holding and sleeping :cat: If they keep creating cashflow the market should eventually reward them.

I don't go for small operations anymore, absolutely none have worked out for me - but kind of interesting.
From the September Qtrly report: no mention of AISC - never seen that before. But they must have made money if the Commsec stats are right, as at end of June 2023 they had $4.4m cash and at end of Sept (from the Qtrly report) they had $18.8m cash with no mention of a cap raising to otherwise explain it. They sold quite a lot more gold than they produced in the Qtr but explain that they are using up a low grade stockpile.

Not Held

BCN still chugging away but management are doing a good job of setting the Co. up as a quality long term Spec. My kind of Speccy!

Recent Dividend announced, and today news on Beacon being awarded 6 prospective Mineral Concessions in Timor Leste.

Pretty hotly contested by a lot of Companies so a feather in managements cap to secure these concessions. Another step forward.

Hard to believe, but the solid price wall at .028 finally got breached today. Every 1 cent increment is hard work, lol. :x3:

One of the major Shareholders stumped up for around another $800,000 worth of shares on 4th December.

Hopefully that's a good omen.

Latest deal on the Lady Ida purchase had mixed reactions on the share price but it should pan out to make the Company plenty of cash once they get through the initial earn in/joint venture conditions.

Share price never moves much on BCN ... usually down recently, lol!

Anyway, they are chugging away ok making profits and increasing projects. Not sure what will get the SP moving but they have been paying tidy dividends for a while now .... Below info from the recent Half Yearly. Generating more sales and cashflow but outgoings have increased respectively due to purchases/costs. Definitely a Stock requiring patience. :bored:

Lot of interest in this minnow Goldie in recent times.

No surprise to me personally ..... I have been "investing " over the last few years based on their potential.

Recent Volume suggests a possible move higher?

The current move in the Gold Price is certainly a help. ;)

Given the current Gold price, a test of .030 for BCN over the next few weeks seems logical? ..... ie Low risk?

Had a look at BCN because you mentioned it.
Not attracted to BCN because they've issued too many shares over the years (3.8B) consistently diluting investors' holdings.
Recent uptick in the share price no doubt due to the rally in the POG. Short term trade possibility only, due to the % gain in a few up ticks.

Yeah can't disagree Pete ...... Many positives with the Company, but it has been slow moving seemingly forever!

Positive movement recently, but as you suggest ... if the current Gold price doesn't move a gold stock, there is possibly something not right with said stock.

The "boys" in control are hard working real "gold miners", so I am happy to hang in given the GP and the recent interest in the stock.

I still see it is a low risk Spec investment ... we shall see. :bookworm:

Groundhog Day at BCN headquarters. Stuck in the middle of a long-standing trading range.

Announcement today .... added another 52,000 ounces of Gold from their new Mt Dimer area. All good but the market wants more.

I sold out of this little battler a while back. High Gold prices but not making any money didnt sit right.

They have had to raise cash this week so now have over 4B SOI. Tough road ahead in the short term
