Hey Joe, just wondering if we could get an average % for the competition entries, rather than the simple ratio of winners/losers - I think this would be quite informative. I'm mathematically illiterate, but I assume this is best. Others might have a better idea (e.g. median?). Also feel free to remove this if it's not worthy of a new thread. All the best.

I just started putting all of the data ino a spreadsheet. I'm putting in:

- Stock code
- Start price
- Finish price
- Industry (E.G. Energy = Oil & Gas, Mining = Metals etc))
- Specific commodity (Gas, Oil, onshore or offshore, gold, coal etc)
- Average daily volume

Hopefully we can start to see what industries ASF members are really good at :) FYI I've only done one month, average was ~3%. Lots of 30%+ swings in there and interesting how it averaged out.

My apologies for missing this thread.

Many thanks to RP_Automotive for putting the stock competition results into a spreadsheet. When completed I'm sure it will provide some interesting insights.

Can you add top 10 posters by averaged gain, please?

Thanks for the responses guys - should be interesting. It just got me thinking that it would be an interesting and simple addition when I saw the % down the bottom of the results page.

Gringotts Bank: Sure thing...Are you just going to start betting behind people?? :)

I'll continue to work on it and have something done by the end of the week, going back 3 months. Once it's all setup I think it will be easy to keep up to date.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what trends come out of it!
