And perhaps move to another country where they just might not get what is on offer here in the way of super generous handouts.Pure symbolism as it was around the date the First Fleet landed in Sydney Cove after deciding Botany Bay was crap. That was the 'invasion'.
Vandalising Cook statues because he 'invaded' is nuts.
Anyone not happy with the English colonising this wide brown land should hand in their mobile phones.

All this dumb crap that goes on just pushes everyone further right. Won't be long till it all blows up.

Elsa Tuet-RosenbergThe day we become a republic will be the day. It's gunna take a lot of will but a referendum on a republic, a new flag and a new 'Australia Day' all at once might work. But, a huge leap. Maybe one at a time over a few years.
Is it just a small minority who are causing all the trouble with this day?
Batman could have done better, but defacing an ANZAC memorial is nuts.

There's a dedicated entrenched group in Melbourne that cause these problems. This one in particular was calling for the defacement of Anzac/colonial statues last year among other things. The police and authorities already know all the groups down there already and it wouldn't take much to shake the tree. Not sure what that criminal has to do with this conversation. Unless it's leading the protests at the moment?

They are fine with this type of radicalisation and it's getting out of control in Melbourne. This is basically the lefts version of accelerationists.
Yes Cobblers Tavern down your way, bogan central, I was at the Boatie last night a bit more up marketI think its one of SP's mates....
BTW its central bogan area (nice bogans) recon there could be blow back.
All my aboriginal mates are getting pissed and waving the flag harder than any of the whiteys. One of them puts a massive BBQ on jumping castle for the kids. His old man is an elder also on the local land council and regularly rips it up them.Yes Cobblers Tavern down your way, bogan central, I was at the Boatie last night a bit more up market.
Ray the local aboriginal education elder ( he gives cultural talks at the local schools) asked me what I thought about Australia Day and changing it, I said you guys seem to be the ones with issue what do reckon, he said leave it where it is, who cares, its a holiday. We had a good laugh about it and a couple of beers.
She probably ran their DEI classes with her company "hue". I'm sure she had government contracts. She'd definitely be on an ASIO and AFP watch list. They might be just waiting for her to cross a threshold or be using her as a honey trap.
Great to see our flag high and proud, and only one the flag.Innerestin'
I've never gone out of my way to celebrate Australia Day, but I have attended a few celebrations over the years and organised one for my family at home in front of the pool many years ago. I have always thought that Federation Day would be a better day to celebrate. However, I strongly believe that the majority should not be bullied by a vocal minority.
And I feel the vibe of change happening.
Even if we became a republic, created Sorry Day, changed the date of Australia Day, voted yes to an Indigenous voice, and renamed every town and river with Aboriginal names, it still wouldn’t satisfy the insatiable demands of woke ideologues.
Like dealing with an abusive partner, the only solution is to refuse to be denigrated. There are malevolent actors out there who would like to see the West and its values destroyed. We know that you can’t placate them or politely request respect. The only option is to stop playing their game. It’s the same for those who want us to feel ashamed for celebrating the national day on January 26: stop trying to placate them by removing Australia Day products from shelves or changing the date.
Change the date. Next year, change it again. The year after that, change it again.Just wish they would change Jan 26 to what if is and that's British settlement day celebrate it for what the day is and chose a day all Australians including the 1st mob here can enjoy.
This is so we can at least grow up and be adults and stop the falsehood that the 26th represents anything else.
Unfortunately wont happen example is Charles II (Big Ears) is still our leader.
Change the date. Next year, change it again. The year after that, change it again.
Who's promoting falsehoods?
January 26 is our national day. Deal with it. Or emigrate.
