Now that the Australian residential housing boom has largely peaked, increased public sector spending on large infrastructure projects in expected to pick up the slack in the construction sector.
Out of the ASX-listed infrastructure and construction stocks which, in your view, are most likely to benefit from this increase in spending on infrastructure projects? Apart from the predictable large cap construction companies, are there any small and medium caps that operate in conjunction with the construction industry that are likely to benefit through the supply of products and/or services?
I'd be very interested in the views of others on this topic as my knowledge of this sector is average at best.
Thanks!
