ASH - Ashley Services Group

Down another 11% today.
Almost bought some of this once - last few years it has been performing above 30% ROE and before that almost 20% was normal. Tempted at these prices but don't want any more complications.
Being attacked by the woke socialist lobbyists in the Albo government.
Some people like casual, I've known one who did only weekend geriatric nursing shifts for the temp w/e penalty rates. I would have been glad if a labour hire company provided me with fruit-picking gigs, let alone train me for something. I'd chase jobs or wait for a start for almost half the year. Some jobs just can't be permanent. Some of their casuals get experience or training then get upgraded to permanents company claims.

My opinion is there is nothing wrong with casual jobs in short term situations, but the widespread abuse of casual employment facilitated by labour hire operators is a blight and rightly being regulated finally. Fruit picking is a bit different to the Rio's and BHP's abusing it to get around what should be FTE positions. For those reasons I would not want to be a part owner of what I see as an unethical business.

i hold , and have an order in( a fair bit ) below 20 cents

manages to have ups and downs this one

my av. SP is 41.5 cents but took some cash of the table last year @ 71 cents , so not as deep underwater as i could have been

but crikey good luck if you can trade if for a profit ( deliberately )

ASH up 19% today on announcements yesterday of director Ross Shrimpton buying $841,000 worth of shares on market and increasing his (very) substantial holding in the company.
