I've been to a few castles.

Having drinks at Edinburgh Castle at a military function is probably a highlight.

But, Neuschwanstein Castle is probably the craziest self aggrandizement project by a royal I've ever been to.

Wait, I take that back. I think the Taj is probably a 'castle' as well.

 
6 am outside the Novatel in Paris, best time of the day in cities the World over, minimal number of people.
 
Durnstien castle ruins, where Richard 1 was imprisoned, great view from the top, but a steep climb.
 
Passau, again from the castle, the missus loves walking, me not so much but given no option.

 
My best travel photo is of a Land Iguana in the Galapagos. Not sure if I'll top this. The quality might be reduced due to the upload restrictions.

I was very lucky to have lived in Peru for 3 years and went to the Galapagos 3 x.
