Try "Watching" the threads you are really interested in and then they are never more than a couple of clicks away. Just don't select email notifcations unless you are ready for a steady stream of notification emails.
I think there is quite a bit of interest in gold stocks at ASF but any discussion needs someone to kick start it with a post. It never hurts just to post some thoughts on a topic to share what you've been thinking.

As far as I'm aware it does. However, it is possible that the recent move to another server has caused some issues.
I will watch a busy thread, set it to email notifications and see what happens.

Email notifications seem to be coming through fine. My understanding of this feature is that after you receive an email notifcation of a new post, you need to read any new posts in that thread before you will receive another email notification. That could be the reason why they appear to stop.

I keep getting ads with a viral picture of Richard Wilkins allegedly being arrested, which he wasn't so its obviously a scam of some sort .
What sort of control does the admin of this site have over ads ? Can some be blacklisted so they don't appear ?

I get a lot of naked women in my google ads. No idea why.

Yeah, so do I but I have no interest in Richard Wilkins so I don't see why I should be getting ads about him.

I've been blocking these ads one by one but they keep reappearing with minor variations. You can also find them on just about any website that runs ads through the Google ad network, including cnn.com and others. Google keep approving these ads so it is left to website operators to block them one by one. Very frustrating and time consuming but it is what it is.
Richard needs to get his lawyers onto Google.

These ads are obviously a front for something, I don't click on them in case they are a phishing scam of some sort. Do you have any info on who is behind them ?

I get naked girl ads and you get Richard... lol
As an aside, I actually met Richard once. I was working on Great Keppel Island as security when INXS were rehearsing for their X tour. Wilkins was invited to the island to report on it. I was tasked with picking him up from the ferry in a golf cart. His face was sort of normal back then. Seemed like a good bloke. But, I don't get him in my google ads feed. Have you been googling Richard?

None, but I suspect it's some kind of crypto trading operation designed to extract money from gullible punters. I try and block what I can but some ads do slip through which Is why I rely on feedback from ASF users as I don't ever see some ads.
