They all seem to be like that. Floyd Landis had a friend who rung Greg LeMond (an anti-doping campaigner and also TdF winner) claiming to be the uncle who had sexually abused him as a child and threatening to testify Landis' hearing if LeMond did. It's real gutter stuff.

Is it just cycling I wonder or is this sort of thing commonplace in all professional sports?
 
He should have just relied on some of that "Spanish steak" that Contador used in the 2010 TDF :D

Personally I cant see what the problem is ?, IMO why spend millions on trying to catch them, surely the better option is to just accept it happens and regulate it and let them push the human body as far as you can and spend the Millions that gets used trying to catch Drug cheats on something more useful like cancer research :2twocents
 
You could see and hear from the interview with Oprah (lets get into and press on the really hard questions :confused::confused:) that Lance is very sorry.

LANCE ARMSTRONG says he "deserves" to compete again and will fight his lifetime ban from sport, saying that he's received the "death penalty" while other cheats have got off lightly.

Armstrong lamented he is banned from entering sporting events such as the Chicago marathon. "I got a death penalty and they got six months," he said, comparing himself with riders who had given evidence about him to USADA and incurred a lighter sanction in return.

He sounds more like a psychopath really.

I hope he goes to jail for perjury and gets whats left of his **** sued.

Cyclists seem to be very intense people. The more flashy the lycra, the more intense. Maybe it's all the coffee. :confused:

Can't believe this guy has the audacity to complain about anything after the treatment he's meted out to others. He's not going to win any sympathy with this approach IMO.
 
As odd as this sounds & despite the negativity of this whole business I have respect for him for being a smart businessman.

I wish I made 100m+ whatever million by his age.

Shame and irrelevancy is the worst wealth to carry.

His only exposure to the media should be via court appearances, the stripping of his wealth via litigation and jail.

He is the poorest of the poor.

I'd pass on the $100m, if that were the cost.
