that made me rethink about the michael jackson ghost appearance on CNN. they said it was the lighting guy that walked past...could be a cover up just like saying it was a rocket misfiring.

Doesn't have to be the rocket trail/path itself.
According to reports, the 3rd stage failed. Some leaking/ejected fuel from a rocket could produce a pattern like that, easily.
Apparently six of thirteen previous tests had failed, that's pretty embarassing for the Ruskies.

I am not a rocket scientist, but the advice I have directly from one is that it couldn't have been a rocket. The last time I saw him (I don't know too many of them!) was just after it happened and he hadn't heard anything about it before I told him. Next time I see him (probably a few weeks or months) I'll see what he has to say. I'm sure at his work they will have thoroughly discussed the event. I don't know what your knowledge of rockets is, or whether it is better than mine, so I won't argue with you. Not that I think it was aliens or anything supernatural, but it does seem like the governments are doing a bit of a cover up, if I had to guess I'd say it's just that they wanted to give the public a believable story rather than have them fearing the unknown. Perhaps the governments don't know either. Or, maybe, it was just a piece of a rocket as the media/government says. I am very reluctant to take the word of the government or media without any supporting evidence, largely because they are both prone to lying more than they tell the truth.

What's my theory? I have no idea what it was, I just believe that it wasn't a rocket. I would have thought a rocket could do that, or a malfunctioning piece of rocket, but *shrug* apparently not.

I can't say I believe in ghosts. I didn't hear about Michael Jackson's, but just from your post, the lighting guy sounds more likely

Looks plausible to me, that's along the lines of what I thought when I first saw the footage. I'll definitely discuss it with my friend when I next see him. I'll take first hand advice from a professional over anonymous advice from YouTube any day
