Folks,

I need an reliable EOD Data service. I can import/filter data ok myself but I do need a reliable service. Is anyone here using Cooltrader or Netquotes for a period of time that can recommend their service, or otherwise?

Cooltrader's website is fairly basic (nothing wrong with that, but), their initial signup page is not encrypted, a service and terms page is still not available (http://www.cooltrader.com.au/quizme/findex.php) so I hesitate.

Netquotes seems reasonable at $14.95 per month (though more than Cooltrader). As long as data is accurate and updated its hard to see why one EOD Service would be better than another if just basic EOD CSV data (after 10:30 Pm is fine) is all that is required?

Any comments appreciated.

I've been using Cooltrader for about 2mths now. It's website is basic but the information appears accurate and so far reliable. There is three weeks worth of data available in daily EOD and the last three months EOD as well on the members download page. They provide for a fee a 3/5yr historical data DVD.

I've been with Cooltrader for years. Service has been excellent - prompt replies to emails whenever I've had any problems (very rarely). Data is downloaded as CSV type text files, as you'd be aware. Stock splits, code changes, etc are handled by the update files they provide a couple of times a month, so no need to manually adjust data for splits, etc.

Does anyone know if cooltrader.com.au still operates? If so, how is there data accuracy and service?

Also is it easy to import the data into metastock?

You're asking if a website still operates. What about you type the URL into your browser and see what happens first.

Some AU brokers offer free EOD data if that's all you want.

If you haven't got anything to say on the topic that is constructive, please stay away from the discussion Gringotts...by "website", i meant "business"..
