Just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on the Seek.com.au(SEK) listing for tomorrow?

Packer and the directors didn't want to see their company get the crap hammered out of it on the first day.

(Regardless of the intrinsic value of the company)

Did anyone here buy into it?

Should be rather interesting, apparently a debt-free co.?

After reading a heap of info on them yesterday I thought give it a go. I missed the floate at 2.10 which was a shame as it opened at 2.15. Managed to get in first thing this morning at 2.15 and it ended the day at 2.30 with high volumes, so was a good start. We will see what happens tomorrow.
Good business and with the backing of Mr Packer not a bad one to have a look at.

Is sek only an operating website ? where does its revenues come from? i read it on the paper today and started laughing... but gee, good start! :p:

Yep, tis web-based only.

Revenues assumedly come from banner adverts & joblisting fees (if applic.).

Keep in mind this co is debt-free, and doesn't have to deal with the overheads $$$ involved in printing etc.

Pretty good business in my mind, I'm just not fussed on the job market :)
