Hi All,
I downloaded Amibroker and I created a list of Australian stocks, which I imported. I am able to download the historical prices from Yahoo Finance. I would like to have the XAO downloaded as well. I tried using XAO, XAO.AX, AORD, AORD.AX, ^AORD, ^AORD.AX but all these are reported invalid. How can I download the All Ordinaries?

Thanks,
Nick

If it is a trial copy, you cannot save the data. Once you close Amibroker all data are gone.
You need Amiquote for automatic download from Yahoo, don't know whether you get Amiquote trial version, most likely not.
Please check.

Hi Superglue,
I have a trial copy and I am aware that data gets wiped after I close the program. They offer Amiquote as well as part of the trial and I can download all the symbols from ASX by adding them into a file with names such as ABC.AX, CBA.AX, etc. But I don't know how can I download the XAO, since all the codes I tried raised errors in Amiquote. Anyway, I can download the data by myself from yahoo history and I was able to import it into Amibroker using the wizard.

Thanks,
Nick

Nick,

I use ^AORD on my Amiquote, & it has been working all along, no problems.

SG.

Hi SG,

Well, I probably had to hear it from you that's working, because now it is also working for me. Probably I tried too many variations before and I missed this one (maybe I only checked with ^AORD.AX, who knows).

Thanks
Nick
