Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could help me customise data from Bodhi Gold into different sectors/industries etc in Amibroker. I believe I've set up Bodhi 5 Gold correctly as per documentation so that %GICS2% appears in the custom screen. Rep from justdata confirmed that everything is set up that end. Problem seems to be getting Amibroker to correctly read the MS database created by the actions in Bodhi Gold.

I have the database created locally under c:\data\metastock\ASX. This hosts all the different sectors too. I try to add these sectors in the Database Settings - Configure screen but Amibroker doesn't pick up this information for its own database under 'c:\amistock'. All the Securities are there but are classified under one 'Advertising' sector. Have I created the database structure incorrectly? I've already reinstalled without success, there must be something simple I'm overlooking here.

If anyone has any ideas would be most appreciative.

Thanks,

Steve

Not familiar with Bodhi Gold data and if its setup already

Steve if you go to the AB site I think there is some code to set the data base up for or it maybe on the net some where try google.

I went through all this a few years ago but since went to Premium Data where its all done for you and up dated every day at the push of a button.

Thanks IFocus. Luckily I'm just trialling different data sources at present, Bodhi is set up easily enough to get data in Amibroker however attaining the specific category setup I'm looking for seems to be above my technical expertise.

Will take your advice and trial Premium Data, seems the easiest solution.

Thanks again!

I ran my own data for many years from various paid and free sources...........then I did the free trail at Premium, got me hook line and sinker its just that good cannot recommend better.

Richard Dale really sorts out all the tricky bits when you setup AB for their data you end up with one of the best break downs of the ASX stocks in watch lists.

Its really easy just follow the instructions

Bit of an example below

Spot on Ifocus.

Stevo58.....I started out using bodhi Gold but ended up switching to Premium Data because of the way Richard sorts his data.

The two don't even compare.

Installed Premium Data with Amibroker over the weekend and you're spot on, great categorisation of the ASX stocks, and US stocks as well. Bodhi Gold is now a thing of the past, I'm most happy. Much better spending time to analyse the data than constantly updating the static data to analyse.

Thanks again for all your advice!
