I'm having trouble finding a Portfolio manager that will run on my Mac.
Everything seems to be Windows based.
What are other Mac users using to manage there Portfolios.

Thanks.. Oscar

The other mac users have upgraded to Bill Gates' Windows :p Sorry, I'm bored, obviously.

Yes you're obviously bored but not helpful!!

I do have a PC (my sons) but much prefer the Mac.

Hi Crissyoscar, there are a few threads on this web site to do with Macs, I remember one in particular that discusses trading software, just can't think what it was called off the top of my head. Do a search for Mac and software, see what you find

hi try www.versiontracker.com.

I have a mac too but not to trade. I use another computer with a windows platform. I looked pretty hard to find software for Mac but the really good stuff is all windows...Sorry

I use ProTA Gold for analysis and while it does kind of do some portfolio management I find that aspect a bit clunky so I only use it to track profitability on open positions and show the result of closed trades.

It's not true that there isn't software for the Mac, it just isn't as well known as Windows software generally. I find most of what I need through Version Tracker.

Having said that I use Quicken on Windows on Parallels on my Mac to manage my portfolio. There are Mac portfolio managers but I've used Quicken since 1996 and I started buying shares in 1993 (CBA - I still own them!) so Q has all my history of purchases, sales, DRP acquisitions etc etc going back almost to the beginning of time and there's no way I'm going to stuff around getting it into some other program. I used Q for Mac until they no longer made it. :(

HTH

You might like to look at 'Australian Mac ShareManager', download from aesoftware.com.au . No charting but its fine for general recording transactions, dividends (cash or DRP), and good tax reports -capital gains, imputation credits. Have used for many years and saves me a lot of time.
Incidently they also offer a PC version.

With Boot Camp for the macs now there is no difference - your Mac can be a PC or a Mac. Another reason I will be switching to Mac soon.
