Australian (ASX) Stock Market Forum

I am picking A4N as one of my four stocks for 2021 Tipping Competition.

(With the number of posts I have made in A4N, one might think I care about A4N. I wouldn't put any specccy funds in, even if I had spare cash. I did regularly tip A4N for monthly comps because I couldn't be bothered picking anything else.)

Here is the latest announcement:

Will Orica become a good client?

High Purity White Powder is useful for engineering purposes and other purposes such as lighting. Pity most think of the stuff that destroys the body and brain. This white powder is great outside the body.

This chart is showing all of the signs of a speccy. It might surprise everyone next year?

Well as the old saying goes " Even a Broken Clock is Right Twice a Day "

Typical Price projection for W5 ~ $0.43 so we are getting close but might take that out....we will have to wait and see.

Alpha HPA is seeking to raise $45 million at 62¢ a share ... an 11.3 per cent discount to the last close.

Funds raised were pegged to pay for construction of a precursor production facility in the Gladstone State Development Area, to place orders for the full-scale commercial HPA facility and working capital.

The raising came as Alpha HPA said it would progress plans to build the Gladstone site, and wanted to become a premium manufacturer of high-purity aluminium products to sell to lithium-ion battery makers.

The company had a $430 million market capitalisation

A4N is for the February Tipping Competition

Let's see if this rounding base can carry it higher into blue sky territory.

Shocking month for A4N. I might as well pick it again for March Tipping Competition. A4N closed at $0.175
March 2022??

Some battery mineral miners are posting strong gains in morning trade following reports that Scott Morrison will announce $243 million in grants for projects that allow Australia to capitalise on the boom in electric vehicles.

Alpha PH (A4N) has been awarded a $45 million grant which will be applied toward the capital expenditure of the full-scale HPA first project. Shares in the company rose 20 per cent to 59.5¢; now 57c

@Dona Ferentes if only I had the wisdom to foresee this event. I haven’t been following A4N in great detail.
For tipping comp, I always seem to pick companies that don’t do well?

has been out of vision range for me, for a while. .... but it seems Orica is interested,,....

ORI taking a 5% interest @ 44c and establishing a MoU , looking at possibility of establishing a HPA processing plant in North America

Bought 10 grand worth at 70 cents.
While picking over my speccy watchlist, A4N came up looking promising.....sort of.
Bit late to the party on this one , so just have to pay a bit more than I'd like .
Today's move will force me to keep my eyes open from now on, anyway.

Bought another 10 grand worth at 60 cents, today.
Am starting to like the look of this one, after a bit more reading.
Price - wise , everything else seems to be getting away from me. A4N still feels like it has a reasonable S. P . ( I hope)... ( Shouldn't have high hopes in this game , though , eh ? )

Sharing is caring.
What is it you like about it?

The only thing I glean here is you own 20k of em at $0.65 average.
There must be more you want to enlighten us with...?
I note it continued on up after DF's last post. ?

Should I be interested in A4N again? Back in 2020, there was no way I was going to put funds into this - it was too speccy. In fact I even stopped tipping this stock. Must have a better story now (plus a few positive announcements). It still too risky for me but that’s just me.

Yep, it’s kicking goals according to this announcement from 19 Dec ‘22.

Stage 1: Precursor Production Facility (why can’t they called it a pilot plant?)
It produced 16 tonnes of Al-nitrate, at 5N 99.999% purity. I remember back in the early days, they were excited at 1 tonne and the purity was not as good as this.

Marketing - more important than the product itself. Hoping EU backs this big time.

Stage 2: Full Scale Project
ie the big full on factory - definitely needs funds like a loan or cap raising?

Nice story but again, not for me. No matter how right this story is, it is wrong for me due to personal situations with my own finances. Otherwise it would have been a nice speccy for me. Maybe there will be a dip later?

For anyone interested, December 1/4 's cash flow statement is out today.
Seems o.k. ( I think )
I might have a bit more confidence in it , later on , over the rest of 2023.
Still a bit speculative, I have to admit . Compared to the other embarrassing stuff on my speccy watchlist , this could be one of my better ideas .
Already mentioned that I'm way too late into this thing. Paid too much, too , I guess.
But, the deed is done. So, just have to wait and see.

The Macquarie mob released an asx notice a few days ago, for their late January acquisitions .
Bought another 8 million shares , taking MQG's voting rights in A4N up from 5, to 6% .
Like me,.... a bit late fellas!
( Shoulda done it at 40 cents. )
So the experts get their timing all wrong , too.
Then again , maybe they were just being a bit cautious.
This speccy stuff has a habit of turning on you and giving a nasty bite.

A4N got their $ 20 mill. grant from the government to assist in building the full production plant in QLD.
It's peanuts though , for a job that will cost a few hundred mill.
Interesting reading all the conditions attached to it though.
The company has to now spend a lot more than the grant . ( in Annastacia's paradise, of course )

Latest 1/4 ly cash flow statement out today.
Not swimming in customer cheques just yet .
A4N is definitely still in it's early days and not something for the faint hearted.
A sensible investor would hold off for now.
S.P. $1 .
