American construction worker Chris Hinchliffe won $441,163 when he finished third place in a World Poker Tour tournament.

By putting up only $25 to enter a satellite tournament (a feeder tournament in which a player can win an entry into the major tournament for a fraction of its cost), Chris' return on investment was a whopping 1,764,552%!! Now that is something I wouldn't mind achieving!

Isn't it strange that you hear about someones winnings at poker. The mention of those that lost (and there would have been thousands of them) is never there. It is like the stock market unless there is a rising market someone has to lose for someone else to win. In gambling the house gets a percentage , on the stock market it is the brokers.
