This is for those that might be interested in a few of the stats from all the 2022 Monthly Tipping Comps. I will be posting each Month's results here then I'll update the spreadsheet and post it here for your viewing.

Spreadsheet will contain: Tipster's Names / Stock Code Pick / % Return for Month / # of Picks for the Year / Avg % / Win % / # Wins / Biggest % Win / # Losers / Biggest % Loss
Yellow Highlighted Area contains: Monthly & Yearly Stats: # of Entries / # & % of Positive Trades (0% and above) / # & % of Negative Trades
White Area contains: EOM XAO Level & Monthly Move, up or down % / XAO Monthly Avg % for the Year (COMPARED TO) ASF Team Avg % for each Month / ASF Team Avg % for the Year
A Different View of Things: Hypothetical returns on $10,000 with the results each month compounding. If you traded this way.

January results below and February results below on the right. I will update the spreadsheet and put it in the next post.

Some great results and some not so good but that's the way it is in these Monthly Comps ;)

This introduces a new dynamic. Maybe instead of trying to shoot out the lights each month, we could be playing to manage downside or even aim for 12 GREEN months.

As they say: manage risk and the returns should look after themselves.

Yes, this would be an interesting challenge. This year there are only 4 of us with 2/2 profitable picks.
Three of the four currently have wining picks in March.

Hope you won't mind if I "shoot the lights out" a couple of times during the year as well.

2022 Yearly Spreadsheet updated at the end of April 2022 below.

XAO in April went down by -0.8% while ASF Team Avg went down -7.06% :(
A hard month with only 36% of entries positive. Too many entries were negative which pulled the ASF Team Avg down, but first time entry @thmpl SYA 33.33% had a nice win, great pick :xyxthumbs.

@basilio with 4 picks so far this year is having a good trot with 100% positive trades and is showing a return of 102% in 'A Different View of Things' compounding section:xyxthumbs.

Another hard month with only 23% of entries positive. Too many entries were negative which pulled the ASF Team Avg down again, but @Dona Ferentes AR1 143.90% saved us, great pick :xyxthumbs.

@Dona Ferentes with 4 positive picks so far this year is showing a return of 227% in 'A Different View of Things' compounding section, outstanding :xyxthumbs.

XAO in JUNE went down by -9.5% while ASF Team Avg went down -23.88% :(
Another hard month with only 9% (3) of entries positive. Too many entries were negative which pulled the ASF Team Avg down again, but it was @Faramir TEM 95.74% who saved us a little, great pick :xyxthumbs.

@Dona Ferentes with 4 positive picks out of 6 so far this year has taken a hit this month but is still showing a return of 118% in 'A Different View of Things' compounding section, outstanding :xyxthumbs.

XAO in JULY went up by 6.3% while ASF Team Avg went up by 11.61% :xyxthumbs.
A better month with 69% (24) of entries positive. Quite a few of the entries (13) were above the average which lifted the ASF Team Average to nearly double the XAO .

@Dona Ferentes has done it again (77.80% this month) now with 5 positive picks out of 7 so far this year is showing a return of 287% in 'A Different View of Things' compounding section, outstanding :xyxthumbs.

am not sure i can keep the track record up

politicians lie but we expect that , but when reference sources lie and change definitions to protect politicians

well a society is based on trust , and this Western thing is falling apart at the seams

and the markets are a reflection of public trust in the economy ( despite the behind the scenes manipulation )

ergo the BoJ has had to buy ( through ETFs ) a significant amount of the whole Japanese market to feign a sound economy

now Australia does that to a less extent via compulsory super ...

but eventually the true nature of markets comes back to bite ( the stock-market is a cash-raising scheme ... no new investor cash and OOPS! at the very worst moments )

Love your work here @debtfree .

@Dona Ferentes outrageously good. I'm going to mention your selections to SSOD (Short Sellers of Doom).

What's surprising, is the consistency of @basilio (not selecting WIN in it's worst month of the year - May, genius) and @divs4ever in the compounding table.

May was a good month for @basilio to be sitting on the sideline. I thought I'd go ahead and put the May monthly % result in the empty white cell to see the difference it makes.
Not so good, average went down by -41% and the compounding balance dropped by -24.7%. Yes, a great move @basilio ;).

On the other hand, I also did the same for a few others that have only picked the one stock this year to see how they would have gone.
Well there you go ..... all improved quite a bit. So you just never know :).

@thmpl would also have come 1st in the March Comp.
@charlsie would also have come 2nd in the March Comp. (my apologies for spelling your name wrong in the spreadsheet, I'll fix it now )
@finicky would also have come 2nd in the April Comp.
