lol - guess you're referring to opportunities for oversaes coaching jobsEddie Jones should never be allowed back to Oz.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Jones_(rugby)
Jones had a disastrous time with the Reds in 2007 as the once almighty team finished bottom of the Super 14 table and had only managed a meagre two wins the entire season. In his defence, disastrous injury spells meant Jones at times was to do without up to 8 regulars to his starting team, including the loss of influential Wallabies fullback Chris Latham even before the season started. Jones has hinted that he would probably never coach in Australia again, thus potentially closing the door on his long held ambition to return as coach of the Wallabies.
Jones has also helped to coach Top League team Suntory Sungoliath in Japan from time to time.
Wallabies' forwards ready to show they're no pushovers
Posted Fri Sep 14, 2007 12:40pm AEST
Almost two years on from Australian rugby union's day of shame, the Wallabies will gauge the regeneration of their forward pack against Wales in the noisy cauldron of Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
The Wallabies have lived with the stigma of possessing a pack of pushovers in world rugby since England's tight five ruthlessly destroyed the Australian scrum at Twickenham on November 12, 2005.
From that nadir, the Australians, under forwards coach Michael Foley, have reconstructed the Wallaby pack to the extent where Foley, a hooker with the victorious 1999 World Cup team, declares they will become the best pack in the world.
The Australians will get a progress report card against the Welsh in their Pool B showdown on Saturday.
"I believe we will be the best pack in the world and it's when, not if," Foley said ahead of the Cardiff clash.
"This weekend is a big milestone for our forwards. Playing Wales at their home ground in a game they're desperate to win, we have to assert our authority.
"Our forwards had a tough season in 2005 and all credit to them for how much they've improved.
"They're committed to dispelling the image others have of them. We understand the perception lingers. We're not offended when people hang labels on us from the past, but we are very motivated to work towards the view that we are well and truly credible."
The Wallabies are regaining respect after the 2005 humiliation at Twickenham triggered when prop Al Baxter was sent to the sin-bin for not packing straight.
Matt Dunning switched to the tighthead and one scrum later was stretchered off with a neck injury. Australia's pack was further humiliated when the referee mercifully ordered that the remaining scrums be uncontested.
That black day led to the sacking of coach Eddie Jones who was replaced by John Connolly, an old-fashioned forwards coach.
Old heads
It has been Foley's task to rebuild the forward pack's technique and shattered confidence, starting with the Jones-era front rowers Dunning, Baxter and hooker Stephen Moore.
"Now it's not just the front rowers talking amongst ourselves," Baxter said. "We now have a coach to talk to."
Foley has told the Wallaby forwards their days of running and avoiding a scrummaging contest were over.
"We now enter the scrum as a full-blooded contest," Foley said.
"We want to scrummage on our ball. We want to scrummage on their ball. If nothing else, it's good for the spirits.
"Going into a game as a forward pack, where you are playing in an extremely confrontational, in-your-face position and being told, 'hey, let's duck and weave', without ever being set a goal to really go at them is a crying shame.
"We're going away from that and, touch wood, that will never come back into Australian rugby again."

Wallabies Coach John Connolly has sounded out South Africa as one of the biggest threats ahead of the World Cup in France later this year
Wallabies wary of Welsh home ground record

Connolly says Wales will be a much tougher test than Japan. Wallabies coach John Connolly has reinforced the importance of winning every game at the World Cup including Saturday's grudge match against Wales.
"We're very wary, they've got a pretty good history at home," he said.
"I remember the game they had against the All Blacks at the last World Cup. They can pull out very big performances at home as they've shown over the last few years."
Connolly says a loss, even in the group stages could end the team's World Cup hopes.
"History shows that no team has ever lost a game and went on to win the World cup," he said.
"Also it's about building momentum and building confidence in the team and it's important in that respect."
1. ahh - Eddie just trying to put food on the table for his kids mate lol1. Eddie Jones was looking quite at home up there with his now good friend jake white. I wonder if he will be let into the country again up if SA tip over the aussies.
2. With the big injury toll from this mornings game it must now be a tall order for england to come back from here. They are still by no measn a shoe for advancing either and
3. there will be lots of tickets suddenly come available if they get kicked out early.
1. m8, I agree - I saw Glenn and Mark in tandem in the Rugby sevens in HK around 19801. I would have liked to have seen more of Mark Ella but I was to young to remember and I don't know if he was part of the 1987 team. In fact from memory I think he retired at the ripe old age of 25 in 85 but I might be wrong.
2. Can't wait till the game tonight.
spot onI am thinking that if Oz pip NZ in the semies without any injury concerns and then face SA in final SA may struggle given they will unlikely be threatened by any team until the final..
rats they are saying that Larkham might be out.Hi x2rider,
Lynagh was a good player but having seen both he and Larkham I feel more comfortable with Larkham.

Can't wait till the game tonight.
