I think we have had something like 50 straight days of rain, somedays just light showers, some days it;s has poured down. Thank god not as wet here as in Ingham (100km north) but we've been cut of N / S and W for days
My understanding is the temperate mainland states will get drier and hotter and the tropical areas will get wetter and stay about the same temperature as now (more cloud cover from the extra rain keeping us cooler) Time will tell if that pans out but I am thinking they need to either move the water south or the people north
Sick of the rain !!! but last year the Dams overflowed, as they did the year before... etc The massive Burdekin Dam is over by 6 meters, last year when it was over the spillway by 4.5m I was advised that was the equivalent of one Sydney Harbour in volume of water going over every day, at 6m, I assume that's about 1.5 Sydney Harbours in water volume or more in water every day going over the top, that is alot of water going down the river ! I wonder if they will ever go to Stage 2 on that Dam... no need I guess as there is so much water with just stage 1 that we never go close to using it.
