Please support my Mother fight St George Bank

My Mother is 63 years old. She has worked at St George's Bank in Sydney for nearly 7 years. She has been bullied so badly by her line manager that she took time of for stress leave. The bank has begun a smear campaign against her for daring to complain about her treatment. They have not fired her, but they have refused to pay her for the past 6 months! They have doctored evidenced and have even made allegations she is mentally ill to avoid any liability for their behaviour. She is living off her savings and is in a real desperate state of worry and distress. St George's are waiting for her to back down and return as a broken employee. She refuses but will soon be broke and destitute. Please show your support by spreading this Group message. Help me help my dear Mother get justice from a multi-national bank. They have treated her like she is nothing. Politicians and Courts seem powerless to stand up to banks, but people power can. Please support this Group and send a message to St George's Bank.

Dude, she loved the job. Being bullied by her line manager ruined it for her. It's not the job but the bank's bullying and response.

Unfortunatelly so are most older people, who are relying on their savings.
Has your mother talked to her union? they have a lot of representitives in the cabinet.
Maybe she could get a union lawyer to represent her?

It's no joke, I'm deadly serious. They refuse to accept any responsibility. She does have a lawyer and they are taking action. The bank is playing hardball. Falsifying documents and so forth. It's a pretty piss poor situation. My Mother wants her job back but they won't allow it until she accepts they are not in the wrong. They have not fired her. It's a holding pattern of mistreatment.

St George isn't a multi-national bank. Westpac is, but I don't believe St Georges operates anywhere outside Oz.

No good at all.
If you havent already - I woukd advise you to get your mum a psychological assessment from a reputable practitioner asap. Once you have that then go through formal channels within the bank - ie use formal grievance policy because as you say she is still an employee so has access to these. It is good she is still technically an employee...avoid it getting to her losing the job if at all possible becuase then you are in a much weaker positon IMO.

From your mums pov....linking with a good counsellor is a very good move..this kind of thing is very damaging personally.
