ABC CH9 Bias Against Maroons in State of Origin

Well we got to hand it to the Blues, they won a tough battle.

I see a couple of blues turning into real origin players.
I see one old war horse in Qld, on his last legs.:) Hope Qld can take him out a winner.

Hope we do not loose Slater for the third game.:eek:
Time to ring Langer and see if he can keep the whole Qld team on the field in Game 3.

Just watched the media talking with Ricky Stewart and some of the blues.
They are well composed.:) Good on you Ricky!!!

When you watch the two best teams in Australia playing one an other, you just wonder how any other team in the world could beat Australia.;)
Make you wonder how NZ can hand us out a hiding every now and then.

Do not miss Game three. We have two weak links, who will be there for game 3 with respect to them.

Excellent win to the Blues. Well deserved. Extremely intense game especially the first 20 minutes. Not for the feint hearted.

With a bit of luck (and the better end of the stick of some dodgy umpire decisions) the Blues would have wrapped up the series with last nights win.

Carney and Pearce starting to step up but still a long way to go. Farah had a blinder. If these three can get to Maroons trio's level then Blues will win more games.

Discussion with mates that State of Origin Series was the premier sports event of the Australian Sports Calendar. Bigger than BEN HUR!

Congratulations to NSW.

And we didn't have to listen to the sooks of commentators on Ch9 and the ABC whingeing.

Qld was lucky again (7 years now they have been lucky).

I think the referees were very biased against NSW. There were forward passes in two of the Queensland tries.
There should have been a penalty when the field goal was scored as at least three Qld players were offside.

The blues will win next year!!

I can tell you exactly what NSW has to do to win next year.
Get rid of the players that produce low percentage football.
You have Jarryd Hayne on the field. I have mentioned it before, he is a poser.
He is not an Origin player. NSW is trying to make him the face of Rugby League!!
You have to be joking.
NSW has a lot of good players in their side.
I can ensure you if they let the coach pick the team, it will be another story.
It is that simple!!

You could be right.

Some good players just are not up to Origin level.

I do not believe that. NSW has great players. But they do not compile a team of great players to
take on QLD.
THERE IS SOME "Old Guard " .."mouth all mighties" picking the team.
You have some of the greatest players in Australia.
"Champion team" , not a team of champions, will get NSW up in the next series.
Trust me! You and I can go down there and pick the team!!
NSW rugby league refuse to pick the team that can win.
Pick the coach first, let him have some say, then stick with the team.

QLD have Cam Smith, Jonathan Thurston, Billy Slater, Greg Inglis and Cooper Cronk. These are generational players. There is no substitute for quality.

NSW are to be commended for making such a series of it. Ricky Stuart should be re-appointed.

But QLD has a new combination after the loss of Lockyer??
The media have never given credit to the new combination!

I think NSW has the quality to match those players. What the QLD team has is patience.
They can pick the period to produce points.
Step one for NSW. Tell their captain to shut his mouth at the ref. Play football, do not play politics.
