Is Wysywyg a troll and why?

Wysiwyg is a known troll

This particular poster called me a troll and in the interests of possibly bettering my communication skills I am interested in other peoples opinions on what they perceive as trollish.

I recall a Troll from my childhood storybook days days as a grumpy old man living under a bridge and waiting for someone to come along...

But Wysiwyg seems to me to be more like a 'Serial Pest' (a la Glen Mc Grath) at times. :

To me a troll is someone who makes remarks or unsubstantiated claims for the purpose of luring heated discussion and argument to a thread, in other words a troll is a **** stirrer. I don't think you are but you didn't answer a question on another thread and that might have prompted someone to call you a troll.

By the way, you wrote a piece on another thread that has stuck with me ever since, this is what you wrote, your part in bold and italic letters, a troll can't write truisms like this:

tolerance is a two way street. that seems to have been forgotten.

Well not really. Usually one entity is intolerant of another's words or actions.

The answer is simple :- DO NOT infringe on other people's lives and treat other people with respect.

the meek internet warriors that only form of trollness is the kind that can only be found behind a keyboard.

the warped and wonderful that enjoy a good poke from time to time and often have a giggle at the responses from some self percieved geniuses.

the self rightous , butter wouldnt melt in my mouth, holier than tho, my poo dont stink kind of person that likes to call others troll when in fact all they are is people that like to stir but cant handle the parlez once they wake a bear.

I was curious to see if it would affect me if someone said stuff about me. Risky move huh?! I'm always interested in my own reactions, whether I get drawn in, hurt, defensive, or whether I can keep cool about it all.... and to what degree. Vital skill for trading, IMO. Great definition. And Wysiwyg, since you have asked, yes, you are occasionally guilty of this.
It puzzles me a bit though, because in other instances you've shown yourself to be a thoroughly decent bloke.
It just seems a bit odd that you present quite differently from day to day, allowing the inference that you're maybe less than genuine on any day.
Such is your right, I suppose. But maybe consider that people on ASF, as with any other aspect of life, have the right to be treated with respect rather than having you ridicule for reasons known only to yourself.

Burglar, whilst initially you may have tried our collective patience with so many posts, not once have I ever felt you were in any way malicious or self serving. Neither have you ever, as far as I can see, infringed on anyone else's rights or been disrespectful.

I really think your understanding is very literal so you can't define the difference between word plays, riddles, jokes, exaggerations and facts, effective communication or experienced contributions.
