Multi Video Graphics Card Computer

I'm just wondering if you can actually install two or more double head graphics card
onto a single computer to run multiple monitors without running into trouble, ie. interrupt or address conflicts.
(I actually ask this question to my local PC dealer and the guy just gave me a strange look).

I'm thinking of buying a PC with 4 PCI Express 16x slots and planning to install two double-head nVidia cards. I have an option of just getting a single 4-head card but they cost around $700 and I think they haven't got the same grunt aren't as the double head ones with a cheaper price.

Any suggestion is much appreciated.

How many monitors do you want to run with?

I run a single Radeon 5800 series card and it supports 3 monitors without any problems.

Simple answer is yes, I run two ATI/AMD PCIe graphics cards in my PC running 4 16:10, 24" monitors. Stick with one vendor ATI/AMD or Nvidia and choose a product that suits the most demanding applications you run. If you're just trading, displaying charts and surfing the net etc. then you don't need expensive cards.
