Just curious as to the demand for Naturopaths and what is required to attain a qualification that could be adequate for work or teaching.

I'm curious as to why you're potentially attracted to this, Snake?
Given the extraordinary proliferation of 'natural' so called healthy remedies that fill pharmacies, health food stores and supermarket shelves, there is a peculiarly intense appetite for these largely untested products.

If the comments by a few naturopaths I've heard speaking are anything to go by, the education would appear to be minimal, at least in terms of basic human physiology plus pharmacological interactions.

Unfortunately you don't "need" a qualification, anyone can call themselves a "naturopath". But to be a registered naturopath with insurance, able to claim rebates for your clients health insurance, etc. you need to be suitably qualified (eg. Bachelor of Health Science - Naturopathy)

It is a very difficult way to try to make a living unless you are able to set up your own successful practice, which is no small feat. My fiance is a qualified naturopath, but she no longer practices (went back to uni and is now a primary school teacher).
