Lawrence Springborg and John-Paul Langbroek are two of the biggest jokes in Australian politics.

They face a Labor Party hugely on the nose with the Queensland electorate and still have a good chance of losing the election which my contacts tell me will be soon.

The LNP need to get rid of both these amateurs if it is to have any hope of breaking Labor's hold on the State which has kept Australia out of bankruptcy over the last thirty years.

They are both shallow, hopeless communicators, out of their depth in 21st Century politics.

The only time that I recall hearing from these two recently is when Aidan McLindon challenged Springborg for Deputy Leader. They dont oppose anything, are way too quiet in the Qld media and the general population doesnt really have much idea what their policies are or what they stand for. There are many things that they could attack the current Labor government on but they arent really holding them accountable for anything at the moment.

I'd agree JB.

In the North the LNP are as quiet as mice, not a peep out of them.

I think the dentist and his mate are concentrating on the Southeast to get the votes, but realistically who would vote for a bloody dentist.

He should be pulling teeth. The waiting to get in to a dentist is weeks up here. And for the poor depending on Queensland Health, the teeth have fallen out by the time their appointment is ready.

Agree absolutely, but who would you put in their place? If they could get Mal Brough back as Leader, that would be the stone cold end of Anna Bligh.
But the present LNP people will be elected purely on the basis of the electorate wanting to punish the government, not by any means because they feel either Langbroek or Springborg have the slightest capacity to govern Queensland effectively.

Just a miserably depressing situation.

The argument of who else to put in their place comes up a lot when talking about ineffective government representatives.

One wonders why we have such a shortage of talent in the political arena. Australia is full of exceptionally bright people, yet we continually suffer with poor leadership.

Maybe Government should be run like Jury Duty - lets rotate through the population until we can find someone we all like :D
