Hi guys,

Heard this morning on the radio that police had found approx 300 grams of Uranium in raids they conducted yesterday.

Which makes me start to question a few things...

1. Why on earth wouldn't this be on the front page of the newspapers or at least on the morning news

2. How would the police know what they were looking at when they found it?

3. It seems like no one really knows what they were using it for or going to use it for

4. It seems like no one cares.

Just my :2twocents and early morning rant...

Hi guys,
1. Why on earth wouldn't this be on the front page of the newspapers or at least on the morning news

It may have had a media "GAG" placed on it after the first reports were made.
Or it may have been found not to be uranium.
I imaging the cops would start to glow before they knew what it was.
It was not included in this mornings ABC 2 news.

sounds to me it was all about money. crims had drugs, grew drugs, and had a commodity they thought was of value. (uranium) no doubt they were looking for a buyer, and police were alerted......thats how police knew what it was straight away. THATS what they were looking for....

Sounds plausable to me metric.
But just to be a troublemaker i will provide a second possibility....
Headlines read.
MAD SCIENTIST DEVELOPS NEXT GENERATION OF PARTY DRUGS.
USERS STAY HIGH FOREVER AND GLOW IN THE DARK

Maybe they use it for Glow in the Dark condoms which would be good whith a half life of 1000000 years it would cost you a fortune in Viagra ..

Police also searched an address in High Street, Kangaroo Flat, a suburb of Bendigo, where they allegedly discovered about $120,000 in cash, a handgun and chemicals they believe would be used to make amphetamines.

Wonder if they found any gold alongside that uranium ... if so they're doing a better job than BDG ;):D
