2025 Full Year Stock Tipping Competiton

I think competition rules are competition rules and those who have entered either abide by them or they do not.

Posting a few sentences in a few stock threads once a month is not really that big a deal, especially if you have an interest in those companies. It makes the competition more interesting and it helps keep the forum active.

Take a little, give a little. This shouldn't be a big deal and I'm surprised that it is.

I agree. I don't think the 'you must post in all stocks every month for the whole year' rule was a good one, but if you're going to have a rule, stick to it. Or say you are going to scrap the rule. But don't just complain about people not following the rule which you don't bother enforcing- that just leaves you to blame. Why should anyone take your rules seriously if you don't?

Thats Ok SdAJii, will leave you and the others who don't want to post off the comp from now on.

Latest update: Just helping @mullokintyre out a little bit here as he's been pretty busy of late.

First of all many thanks to all for your Company posts updates each month, it's much appreciated by Mick, ASF (Joe) and our sponsors (@Sean & @UMike). :xyxthumbs

This update has today's closing price in the March area and anyone that has their Company posts up to date will see the % results so far this month and also their YTD % result.

This post is mainly to make Tipsters aware of their missing Company posts that need updating. We need the 4 updates for the % results to work in the next months area. Haven't checked this month's post yet.
You might also see for the month of FEB some bright blue cells in the price column, this relates to Company posts posted but with no info in regards to the company, it needs to contain more info.
To qualify for the competition and prizes you must:
  • post in the thread of each of your entries detailing why you think the share price of each will increase in 2025.
  • at the end of each month post an update in the thread of each of your competition entries with an update such as: if your reason for picking them still exists or just a general update on how they are going.
@Avid - @basilio - @BossMan. - @Captain_Chaza - @kenny - @Sdajii - @UMike - FEB - Company updates needed - JAN updates needed, reason for entry.

Catch up Month: Let's try and get this done asap and don't forget another post will be due for this month as well.

By the looks of things looking at the MAR results @craigj is leading with a 22.65% so far this year. Next is @Sean K 11.48% then followed by @Knobby22 10.61% with @houtman just behind the with 9.15%.

Pretty sure I posted in each stock tip 9:30 plus yesterday.

I thought Mick wasn't going to insist on the posting due to not wanting to chase it up?

STATUS:
CVN - Jan, March. - - -- - Can do one at End of March if that is acceptable - But It is in a crap position doing Nothing.
DRO - Jan and FEB - - Very interesting company will for sure post some thoughts monthly throughout the year.
KCN - WOW you are right I haven't posted anything. Actually while in Thailand I want to visit the site. Very disappointing SP. no idea why it is such a laggard.
PLY - Mar - - - - Yea only Posted in March. Can do one again at the end of March if you like. I thought it was doing well but apparently they are now losing money. Not that much to go on.

Not that I was aware of Mike.
Just using this month for everyone to catch up with their previous missing posts, there's not that many really.
If they label it for Jan post or Feb post in the company threads, all's good. Then they can put one in for March.
All will be caught up then. Thanks Mike.

Weird. I did post last month in my chosen companies. Are you retrospectively enforcing a rule to exclude people who don't like your rules even if they follow them?

If so, hey, maybe it's best if you do put that rule into place.

You do realize that @mullokintyre is doing this as a volunteer right? He's giving up his own time to help organise and run a yearly competition for other ASF members. This is not an official competition. This is a competition organised by ASF members for ASF members.

Where's the gratitude and respect?

If he wants to threaten to exclude me even though I was complying with the rules, I'm happy to oblige and step out of his game, regardless of how much or little he is being paid. If it's not a pleasant, fun game being run in a pleasant way, I'm content to stop playing.

As you say, he volunteered. It's most peculiar to be grumpy or resentful in a position you volunteered for. It would actually make more sense if he was being paid.

Sorry for any feathers I ruffled, I'll ensure the door doesn't hit my arse on my way out.
