China a Failed State and a Rogue State to the rest of the World

I don't have the interest or aptitude to go much into this but one snippet suggests to me that DeepSeek could be a kind of counterfeiting of ChatGP or whatever it's called. There are even Chinese nerds and eggheads calling it out. Of course we all know what liars and cheats the CCP are so I'm very attracted to this interpretation. They copy, counterfeit and hack amazingly well but they do not originate or create. They can't, they are enslaved machine men. God I hate communists.

they do not originate or create
It must be the system . There's just no other explanation . Would there have ever been a Google if Sergey Brin's emigrating parents had left him behind to wollow in the god-awful Soviet Union ?

This is open sourced.
Just like saying domeone building a concrete slab is copying.
Public domain, improved
Anyone could do it, except no one funds a westerner kid or it nerd to do it in the west, whereas the CCP does..
We got what we deserve..

The main thing is that China was able to screw the US, the US thought they were going to sell millions of chips to companies to power up the AI model, but China got a quality AI model to work with considerably less CPU power which means a lot less chips sold by companies like Nvidia. There's no money in AI itself because it's open source or free and people won't pay much for it.

It sounds like you're not entirely agreeing with me again Northern Frog. There's been too much of that lately on this thread.
Indeed, you have an hate hopefully of the CPP, not the Chinese people, but i also believe you have a 50 y old image of China daily life and economic level.
I hope you realise that even Hong Kong is quite passe and backward vs mainland China.
We in Australia are such technologically laggard it is not funny vs them
There are many aspects i much prefer in China, but overall Australia better for me do not take me wrong.
But i am a country person by heart so i can live with shitty roads, abysmal public transport and outdated CBD here, moreover, i am not much of a consumerist so the overpriced everything here i can do with..just
Lastly, in day to day life, you would be surprised by how freer you are in China, unless you spend your days criticising the government.😉
Then yes, in jail....
But the local parking and speed camera nazis are not there, you can walk on the grass, ride on the pavement wo helmet..ohh the horror.
I do not believe you will change your mind but for 99% of the Han populace, as long as they have a better and better lifestyle and plenty of food at the banquet...they are happy.

more likely the 'secret sauce ' is a better way of filtering all that data at a way smaller price

BTW the basic ( public ) data is all the same all for the cost of an internet connection ( only the 'secret databases' may differ depending on their security levels )

BTW 'hack is ( or was in the West ) an honorable term for the IT folk who fixed problems on the fly , instead of waiting for official fixes and specialist visits from your IT provider ( which MIGHT be months away )

diss on the hackers at your own risk , even the nicest guys have a breaking point

OH ! and you are looking in the wrong places for devout Communists/Socialists they exist in plague proportions in your universities , China realized pure Communism had it's flaws so modified much ( not long after the Soviet collapse )

China has weaponized fentanyl against the United States. It’s fighting a long battle, motivated by a desire to destabilize the US and challenge its economic and military hegemony, and by an ancient grudge, nearly biblical in scope, against the West over the 19th-century opium wars.

You might think of Mexican kingpins as the top of the drug food chain, but everybody works for somebody. And that somebody is often a gangster in China, made “respectable” by his other legitimate, public-facing business operations and a vital position within the Chinese Communist Party.

But it gets worse…

Today we’re speaking with Canadian investigative journalist Sam Cooper, whose deeply researched book Wilful Blindness exposes Canada’s damning role in the opioid trade.

This might explain why the Trump administration is going on the offensive with our northern neighbor.

Sam’s research uncovers an intricate network, where the inputs to make synthetic opioids like fentanyl move from China to Vancouver, where they are processed and released as a plague over all of North America. Meanwhile, the drug money is laundered through casinos, real estate, and Chinese exports.

The CCP has the capacity to cut off much of this highly sophisticated, highly profitable business, but to date, it has not. Sam’s work indicates it is in on the deal.

It’s a sensational story with Scorsese-like elements, but this is not a movie. I never want to lose sight of the human cost. Opioid deaths have soared in the past two decades. Many people who’ve overdosed began their drug descent on legal prescription opioids, and many others simply took a pill at a party, unaware it was laced with fentanyl.

The opioid epidemic is no longer limited to the poorest corners of the rural United States or the grittiest neighborhoods of major US cities. The damage is everywhere, and it is growing. Yet powerful people are turning a blind eye to this “opium war in reverse.”

The communists just used the capitalist system! Communism is not but about power and never about the people

yes but the West is moving the opposite way to reach a similar end-point , will the Chinese keep personal initiative and ambition alive , while the West crushes it in it's citizens
We in the west live in a false sense of reality of freedom. People are slowly waking up of this but still now quick enough or enough to people in general

The US govt did a test on cocaine coming in from Central America years ago and the precursor chemicals to make it were coming in from US corporations. With Fentanyl, drug cartels mix it with tranquilisers to make it cheaper and that's what kills a lot of people.

"Public health officials say Mexican cartels and drug gangs inside the U.S. are mixing a dangerous chemical sedative called medetomidine into fentanyl and other drugs sold on the street. The combination triggered a new wave of overdoses that began in late April and have accelerated in May.

"The numbers reported out of Philadelphia were 160 hospitalizations over a 3 or 4-day period," said Alex Krotulski who heads an organization called NPS Discovery that studies illicit drugs sold in the U.S.

Medetomidine, most often used by veterinarians as an animal tranquilizer, but also formulated for use in human patients, has also been linked to a recent “mass overdose outbreaks in Chicago.

Preliminary data also suggested another mass overdose event linked to medetomidine in Pittsburgh, but those initial findings proved false, according to Krotulski."

China agains playing chicken with RAAF planes.
Its symptomatic of a bully, the CCP and the PLA are just a bunch of arseholes.
ya can't go shooting flares at planes or divebombing them in international airspace, despite what your country thinks about "incorrect " maritime law.

Not to support the CCP and the glate incident, but WTF are we doing in the Chinese seas? Seriously?.protecting our shipping lanes? with..China?
When you are a 30 millions island whose key issues is to tax enough people to pay for NDIS, aboriginal welfare and pensions, not to mentioned the debt taken to have submarines delivered in decades and yet, no clue on how to have power in hospitals and cbds in 24 months, we should have better priorities than playing hide and seek with the chinese airforce imho
Japan and Taiwan have some serious reason to be active there, we do not but for a misplaced inflated ego.

I think we generally claim to be supporting UN resolutions about monitoring potentially dangerous stuff in and out of Nth Korea, which flows through the SCS. It's an ongoing UN mission.

The war on terror to ensure only Cia plays the narco traffic? 😊 Lol
UN a great concept after the useless "société des nations"and then fast forward 2025.....should i say anything ...
Look, the ccp is indeed a bully but we all know that both the US and our navy as loyal lackeys are playing chicken with the Chinese on contested areas and islands.
And we have bigger worries especially when our whole economy hangs on a thread to the said China, as per our narket move today on vague rumours on Chinese RE....
Anyway, till the next provocation

I think the sea and air patrols trying to stop North Korea expanding their access to WMD are a little more complicated than just some UN resolutions. I think Russia vetoed the original UN plans and then China might have and then a swag of countries got together to contribute air and sea surveillance to monitor what was going in and out. We've been a part of it for most of the time. Some of it might be enforcing Laws of the Sea and monitoring illegal fishing inside countries EEZs too. China are only attacking our aircraft and ships because they're probably doing something against international law.
