An interesting stat would be the age of forums users. Are we all young? Old? Going through a midlife crisis perhaps?

Re: Age of Members

Hey trishan9390

To keep some of our "older" members privacy intact perhaps you could add an anonomous poll to this. ;)

I'm not sure but hasn't this topic been covered before?

I'm 32 but have the maturity of a teenager up the back of the class.

** EDIT ** - lol you must have added it whilst I was replying.

Re: Age of Members

Yes, it's weird: you have to submit the thread before the poll.

Oh and if it has been covered, I hope it wasn't in the recent past. Maybe some people have changed age brackets...lol

Interesting, 78 views of this thread and no responses to the poll !?!?!
Private lot aren't we ?

OOPS... apologies, you are right,.
It's probably a bit late at night for me, and I'm old.

I'm insulted that you would group the over 50 and the under 18. Do you consider over 50 to be entering second childhood and the under 18 still there?. I did not vote. Put in a class for 65+. That is where life experience is.

Another non voter here. The needs and investing styles of an under 18, under 60 and over 65'ers are worlds apart! Interested in different things for different purposes!

Poll options changed. Unfortunately I can't change the order of the poll options so 'Under 18' will have to go last.

Appreciate the change Joe but why not have an over 65. We are the ones that have retired and have a completely different attitude to investing than those still earning an income. We also have different needs and were raised under quite different conditions. We know rationing, making do with less and more difficult financial circumstances than those younger people have experienced. I, for one, would like to know how many over 65 are members.

51 and still counting, hope I get to count many more :)

Almost stopped at 40 but he threw me back, not my turn. Just scared me enough to change a few views on life :)

Just how I cannot speculate the circumstances you experienced during your life you cannot speculate mine.

For you to say you have experienced more difficult times than myself is such a gross under-estimation of what some people face today.

There are many "younger people" today that struggle more than you could imagine.

I experienced great hardship to get where I am today. I was not eligible for any financial assistance. I regularly went hungry. I relied on generosity from strangers and friends to survive.

I was hoping to be in the 5%, but alas only the 16.5% (atm)

:D:D
