XLR8 Metals Limited is a minerals exploration company that was incorporated on 26 August 2022 for the purpose of identifying, acquiring and developing battery mineral projects with a focus on nickel projects throughout Tanzania and Sweden, which are jurisdictions that are well recognised for their globally significant nickel resources.
Since incorporation, the Company has applied for and entered into agreements to acquire (subject to satisfaction of certain conditions precedent) a 100% interest in a portfolio of 14 tenements in Tanzania (Tanzanian Projects) and 5 tenements in Sweden (Swedish Projects), which are considered prospective for nickel sulphide, copper and cobalt.
The Tanzanian Projects consist of 2 granted prospecting licences and 12 prospecting licence applications, which comprise 5 project areas referred to as the Ntaka West Project, the Kabanga North Project, the Mbozi Project, the Kimamba Project and the Basuto Project. The Tanzanian Projects cover a combined area of approximately 2,162km2 in the East African Nickel Belt and the Mozambique Mobile Belt which encircle the central Tanzania craton.
The Swedish Project consist of 2 granted exploration permits and 3 exploration permit applications, which comprise 5 project areas referred to as the Gårkälen Project, the Kälen Project, the Grannäs Project, the Hemliden Project and the Mora Project. The Swedish Projects cover a combined area of approximately 40km2 within the Lappvattnet Nickel Belt.
It is anticipated that XL8 will list on the ASX during June 2023.
