Almost amusing on a personal level Uncle Garps ...

I lost quite a bit of moola about 2 weeks ago thinking I could pick the short term top in the Index Futs (I ended up being close to be fair)

If I had been able to hold that position which I eventually closed (in pain ),

I could have had a week's holiday on the Gold Coast with my wife on the profits! lol ....

No real message in my post ... It's my birthday ... I'm old and reminiscing.

A very Happy Birthday and many more of them @barney . Uncomfortable reading, although I don't trade futures, I've been there, done that on stock trading.

I am currently going to cash and term deposits on a significant percentage of my SMSF. I may be proved wrong and miss out on a large move up, and it is painful to liquidate some of my "losers" who may be about to turn in to clearer waters.

Accounts such as yours makes me happy I post on ASF, and makes me realise I'm not alone.
