stereotypes...it would be no good getting tied up if they were ugly! I agree.

My family went and met a German exchange student yesterday, for a meal.

I did not go, but apparently my wife managed to choke out a mention of the war!! ( in relation to a remark that Germany did not have a coastline, she said "they did, for the battleships in WW2")

I called her Basil Fawlty.

didnt u say u have seen an old pic?

surely that would allay some concern?

I mean to say, unless she is so grossly unnattractive, or misrepresented, one can still offer the hand of friendship and host...good luck.

ps dont mention Ivan Milat either, he murdered 2 German tourists, in unexplained circs

Seriously though I suggest getting a photo first before committing to meet, a sexy voice can be very deceptive.

I remember a friend (in the old IRC day's) who met this guy in U.S he gave her photo's of him half body always he turned out to be on a wheelchair." no offense to people with disability intended" but he should have told her at least halfway into the friendship. Again insist on a full body photo.

yes i met a few overseas didn't work out, also met someone local and the rest is history,...............yes it was a happy ending. good luck.

Just be careful with who you meet on the internet (be it good or bad). It can be more real than you can ever imagine.

I meet a girl form Russia. Chated on the phone and letters for twelve months.
finally decided to bring her out here. looked great in the photos and sounded lovely on the phone. got her here and looked very average and was a total bitch when she arrived. sent her home four months later.
wont do that again.
with plane flights and phone bills i was down about 10K
serve myself right I suppose
live and learn
agro wont hurt to meet her just dont get to heavy b4 the meeting

I've met quiet a few guys from the forum.

Plus talk to others regularly on MSN.

No problem with it whatsoever. Never dated a girl from the net, but then again, never really been single for an extended period of time (except once, but I will supress that memory). If I was single again, I would have no problem meeting a girl from the net.

You only live once, give it a shot!
