Is wire transfer the same as using internet banking to transfer funds to another bank?

Yes - refer to the thread on IB under Brokers in the Trading Resources forum - I'm sure this question has been covered there, or in the IB Troubleshooting thread, same forum. I use Netbank to transfer to their Aussie account - think it's Citibank?

I have opened an IB account a few months ago and have also used Netbank to transfer to the IB Citibank Sydney account after completing the IB deposit notification. Not sure if it is technically the same thing but it worked.
