Winners vs. Losers

Whilst i don't like to label people as 'winners' or 'losers', i found these quotes interesting (they were provided to me by somebody).

What do you think?

When a winner makes a mistake they say "I was wrong," when a loser makes a mistake they say "It wasn't my fault."

A winner learns from their mistakes, a loser learns not to make mistakes by not trying anything different.

A winner in the end gives more than they take, a loser believes that winning means taking more than you give.

The winner always sees an answer in every problem, the loser sees a problem for every answer.

Winners choose what they say, losers say what they choose.

Winners use hard arguments but soft words, losers use soft arguments but hard words.

Winners stand firm on values but compromise on petty things, losers stand firm on petty things but compromise on values.

Winners make it happen, losers let it happen.

This explains why some people survive trajedy and others succumb.The internal life force varies greatly between people.

Do you believe this locus of control can be changed from external to internal?
Isn't this largely the purpose of behaviour modification therapy?
I'd suggest that belief systems can be changed.

We all know those people who say stuff like:
"I can't help it. I've always done it that way".
i.e. complete capitulation to laid down habits.

Yes, I believe that it can be changed. However, the first step to changing is recognising that there is a problem...
