Which stock broker to use?

Just looked at the charts for HAS, looks like it shot right up after this period, around june??
Someone would've cleaned up. Did you invest your 20k into this stock ozibroker?

I invested 10k and then accepted an offer for further shares.

Starting share trading

I am about to start share trading, possibly looking at daytrading too maybe. Which brokers would you recommend? Something with a low commission on each trade too.

I think the main ones would be Interactive Brokers, CMC Markets & IG Markets. Thoughts about the pros & cons & any recommendations, thanks

Re: Starting share trading

I assume you have bought and sold shares before because if you have no experience then you will pay a price to the market (see seasoned traders) of some amount. I myself began and had some beginners luck but gave it all back plus more due to inexperience. Didn't know how to control risk was the killer for me and that was before I discovered leverage. :frown:

Re: Starting share trading

You should give some thought to learning HOW to trade.
Apparently it takes 10,000 hours!

When you know how to trade, you will not need to ask about brokers.

Yes I've done a little bit of trading already with a broker who has free trades for a while to test them out, but the brokerage will a killer when the free trades run out.

Do you mean 10,000 hours of just learning without applying anything that is learnt? Surely the best way to learn after studying is practical experience trading in the markets with small amounts then just reading.
