Hi guys,

What is good free charting software to use for beginner. I have been using IncredibleCharts for some time. While I like its simplicity and convenience, not being able to see price/data at the end of the trading day is seriously bothering me. Is there anything similar to this software that I can keep my drawings and watchlists on it? I am after just a simple software like IC nothing serious.

Cheers

What markets are you interested in?

How do i link the chart with yahoo. Do i have to manually import eod data to the chart every day?

Nah, i think once you setup the Yahoo data source you can just open NT and connect, it should update the symbols that you have loaded into it previously...

I don't use it for EOD though so you should do your own research on this...

IF you get stuck, don't hesitate to ask for help though...

Cheers,

CanOz

You may need some kind of a suffix, such as .asx or something...OR you may need to specify the exchange...did you check the NT link at the bottom of my post...?

It even says connected to yahoo at the bottom, i don't think it is pulling any data from yahoo.

finally made it work, thanks CanOz

Hi Damdin Could you tell me how you got the Yahoo connection to display Australia stocks data? I've followed the steps in the youtube video canoz supplied (thanks CanOz) and all I can get is the end of day data for US stocks. Would appreciate help form anyone who has a solution.

I'm currently on an iMac.
Big Charts gives me charts, but I am unable to add "Arbitrary Burgundy Lines".

Grateful for any help!

Sob! Sob! So many charting packages ran well on my WinduzXP machine.
