Westpac Broking Revised Website Was Implemented Today

What really upsets me is that I am unable to connect QuoteTracker to Westpac which does all the great things that Westpac Broking does not do.

The Westpac portfolio screen is a similiar dumb screen in alphabetical sequence.
- Should have provided re-sorting on selected columns
- there is no total purchase cost reported
- great to include real time when refreshed "Change Today Value($) vs Prior Day $ close; but it does not include "% change"

You are lucky. I cant even log on. The phone service is C#@^ and the music when holding is high pitched, probably designed to stop us holding on.

Re: Westpac Broking Revised Website Was Implemented Today

Finally able to log on. BUT, please give me back the old Westpac. This one is much slower to get around.

Re: Westpac Broking Revised Website Was Implemented Today

Much more complicated with no added functionality that I can find.

cheers

Re: Westpac Broking Revised Website Was Implemented Today

I am having alot of trouble finding the information i want. Maybe just have to get used to it.

Re: Westpac Broking Revised Website Was Implemented Today

After getting through to their help line which was very busy for some reason  the guy lied to me about people not being able to log in ( i.e I could hear operators in the background talking about log in probs ). He'd obviously been ordered not to let on they were obviously stuffed up.
Finally given a new temp' password & I havent found an improvement = all I've noticed so far is the print is smaller ( must be gettin'old :( )
Arrgghh! I'd be with Bell Direct now if they werent so impressive they stuffed up my contact details. :headshake:bonk::bricks1:

PS: Sorry about the really lousy grammar I just finished a long shift (work) & couldn't be bothered being legible :p: :silly:
Wonder why /what's the difference in settlement
& Are we the last 5 ppl dumb/lazy enough to still be using Pacdup? :(

Quotetracker support advised:

John,

Yes, the Westpac web site completely changed. From what I can see, we will no longer be able to support this site for data in QuoteTracker.

Finding the site better but agree about the print size, does need to be a bit larger and bolder for older codgers. Previous sales length and bid offer details much better. Charting improved. Have not fiddled extensively yet and some of my concerns may ion out in the fine tuning.

When you place an order ,its really hard to know your numerical position, also when looking at the market depth it would be great to see what the All ords index is on ie up or down( at present you need to change screens).
The new website seems to be fine tuned , but to me its for mums and dads who think they are flashy traders ....for me its too many prompts to get the instant info and my order might be in jepordy with to many prompts of the keyboard.
I hope somebody from Westpac reads this column because I'm ready to pull up stumps and i have a lot of money invested with 6 operating accounts....

For "Quotes" using <Market Depth> displays the first 10 buy and sell order prices,

BUT PRIOR TO THE START OF TRADING, THERE IS "NO" INDICATIVE OPENING SALE PRICE based upon the pre-open buy and sell orders

The PORTFOLIO HOLDINGS screen is a dumb screen where you can not resort the holdings other than in ASX code sequence
-- why not provide for sorting by "market value", "profit/loss $", "profit/loss %" and "value for the day"
-- what about allowing to include additional data closing prior SP, volume,

What about adding an automated refresh button based upon time
-- refreshes every 60 seconds?

Sounds like you should consider switching to Comsec Iress. Tried and proven and generally very reliable.

so far if you amended an order, the expiry date changed to 3 weeks later and in that way an order never expired.

today I noticed that Westpac Broking has changed that and changing the expiry date is not possible anymore.

for my system trading penny stocks this was a crucial part because an order would stay in the queue until traded even if it took months.

before the meltdown I spent about 18k a year on brokerage and unfortunately due to this change I have to say goodbye to Westpac.

Re: Westpac Broken Revised Website Implemented Today

Who else is having problems with the "pacdup" site? I've had orders doubled up & others gone missing. Occasionally I try to place an order & I get a msg "client is invalid" then "you do not have permission to place equity orders on this acc"!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead: (with SELL orders too)
You ring the help line & after a long wait some acne faced moron talks down to you saying its all your fault, you have to take care before finally presiing confirm. As if I haven't been making thousands of orders over the last few years without all these weird hiccups.
Is it just me & my slow satellite connection causing the probs? I don't think so, their help line use to be quicker, that's got to be a sign I'm not going crazy & others are having probs too.
Wish I was with Bell Direct or Maquarie Prime now:(
