WebIRESS logoff when notebook sleeps

I have two Windows 7 notebooks.

On one (a Sony S Series), the computer can go into sleep mode indefinitely and, when it wakes, WEBIress will still be logged in and all ready to use.

On the other notebook (a Dell Latitude E6320), after a few minutes sleep and then a wake, WEBIress is logged out with all windows except the main one closed, and the only action it accepts on the main window is to close it using the X button.

The main difference between the notebooks is that the Dell has a SSD disk. I don't know whether that has anything to do with it.

I've checked all the power settings and changed a few without fixing the problem.

Any suggestions or similar experiences would be welcome.

Will post solution in case someone else has the same problem and searches on WEBIress.

On this particular computer, avoided logging off after sleep by not using 64bit IE9. Either Chrome or 32bit IE9 don't log off when wake from sleep.

However 64bit IE9 works fine on another notebook for some reason.

Hi Bluedog, I didn't see your earlier post or I would have replied. Not that I had an answer as I found I had to run WebIress on a desktop PC due to the problem you have described.

My laptop is a Toshiba with XP. I have given up trading the Aussie market with WebIress and any occasional option trades now are made with IB, so WI is no an issue at this stage.

I'm rather suprised that one stays on (maintains a DHCP Lease) while in sleep mode. It could be simpley attributed to the circuitry which is something you are not going to be able to fix. I hardly think it is to do with the software - but then again, perhaps a simple google search on the topic will yield some good information.
