There is Sabre rattling all over the world ATM... This is getting ridiculous

Russia Goes on the Defensive
// Russians are being evacuated from Georgia
Russia took measures against Georgia yesterday that usually precede military action. The Russian ambassador was recalled, and today the evacuation military and embassy personnel begins. The Foreign Ministry is recommending that Russians delay trips to Georgia. This is the response to the arrest in Tbilisi of Russian officers accused of espionage.... Buy gold.
As I recall kennas, just prior to the Iran Iraq war, price of gold was going up steadily, predictions it would get to $1000 (back in 1980 when that meant something) - then after the battle started, Iran sold its gold reserves and the price of gold slumped bigtime. Sure is taking a long time to hit those predicted numbers ;) Having said that I bought some BDG the other day for the same reason that you are inferring. (or are you saying buy bullion ?)

Interesting note. Wonder if Nth Korea or Iran will sell gold when the US attack?

I think the oncoming 'oil shock' will drive POI up, and then gold up, to the records again.

So, I'm keeping gold stocks. No bullion. Yet.

I have a feeling Cog said something about bullion. I have these images of Cogni driving around the Nullabor with a busload of crazy teenage backpackers half his age (probably quarter?). They are trying to make bread on the side of the road. He has a bootfull of gold bullion in case of war :viking: And you thought Priscilla was a crazy movie ? lol

I'm not sure that the US will attack Iran. I think they may leave it to Isreal to hit Iran's nuclear program in the next 12 to 18 months. They did a good job of taking out Iraq's nuclear program in 1981.

USA & Israel are now one homogenous entity. An attack by israel will ipso facto be an attack by the US.... and of course by logical extrapolation, the UK & Australia. It's all one. :2twocents

Yep the USA makes the little decisions like who to invade and when , and AUS makes the big decisions like..like ...whether there'll be low calorie or full cream chocolates in the 24 hour rationpacks.
