Well just about every benefit Australian workers enjoy was fought for by unions at some stage then flowed on to all workers. Workers comp, the 8 hour day, the 40 hour week and now the 36 hour week, overtime and holidays. None of this stuff was handed out.I make more than double the award rate. Award RnR is 13 weeks on and 1 off, I am on 5 and 1. My membership costs less than buying the weekend papers.But if you can sit back an pick up the benefits without putting your hand in your pocket then good luck. Bit unaustralian to me.
