HI All,

Trying to chase up some information on my old mans service history in Vietnam. Am onto his old unit but just wanted to throw it out there as someone here might have some good ideas on where to go digging.

My dad wasnt to open about his experiences as many Vet's are the same.

Stink,

This may be no help at all, but Radio National (ABC) have been running several programmes about the Vietnam vets over the last week. They have the facilities to do a lot of research and I've found them very helpful with questions in the past..

go to www.abc.net.au, and click on the Radio National link. Sorry I can't remember which actual programme titles I heard.

what was the unit number?
My dad was there so I may be able to help you out with some information or where to get it.

I am not sure about the Vietnam war but if you have your fathers service number (or just use his name) you can find out about his service ect.. via a free search.
Aprt from that contact the local RSL they will be happy to give you some direction.

Vicb - thanks i will check that site out today.

Mint Man - He was with 161 Recon over there, i found there web page and have sent them an email so hoprfully will get some info back from there.
