So, there is now an online poll for Vegemite's new name, and these are your choices!

My husband entered Vegemate in the recent competition where isnack 2.0 was selected but now they are doing an online poll starting at 6pm tonight and his is one of the possibilities.

I hope you win Prospector !! I just don't know why they did not just go for CHEESYMITE to start with? Oh ... it is registered with HEINZ already.

"HEINZ Little Kids Cheesymite Bread Sticks" apparently.

CHEESYMATE has a nice ring to it? I wonder who loaded the poll with number 1 on the list being CHEESYBITE !!! Betcha this one wins (no offence Prospector)

I remember cracking up when I read "vegemageddon" in the papers. That would definitely get my vote for lulz

I prefer Vegemite Cheesybite but will vote for Vegemate in order to assist you in winning.

Geez they're all pretty lame names as well. I guess Vegemate is probably the least lame out of them (Sorry to Mr P ) so it can get my vote.

Is it just me, or does CREAMYMATE sound decidedly dodgy for a food product :

That's why I don't think "Vegemate" will win because "mate" is an Aussie expression and I'm still convinced they are going for a more international market with this product.
 
This must be one of the most successful marketing campaigns ever. The whole isnack name was a con, just to draw attention to the product. They will have already decided the permanent name and are presently just milking it for all they can get.

Nutritionists have given it the thumbs down for excessive levels of fat and salt.
 

And what is wrong with fat and salt.

You are going against thousands of years of survival techniques by the human race.

Salary is derived fron the word salt.

And I love pork crackling.

I bought 4 jars of the isnack branded ones yesterday, someone said they're already on EBay, might slot them into my super fund

Ah, havent seen isnack at the stores - just 'name me'. Good idea Mr B. The fact they actually produced the labels does suggest to me that they didnt do this as a publicity stunt.
