Could it be this website statistic that is posted at the bottom of the ASF Home page is the ultimate contrarian indicator?

'Most users ever online was 767, 22nd-June-2007 at 03:18 PM.'

June 2007 was the first stage of the double top that marked the end of the 2003-2007 bull!

Joe - could we have a lowest number of users stat - lets see if that can pick the borrom of the bear?

Anyway all I do know is that next time the ASF breaks the 'most users ever on-line' record I will be selling quick smart.

Now I wonder how many of the 767 were actually taxi drivers? :D

Right, access to the statistics certainly would provide some key indicators - eg a weekly graph of the users online against the XAO would be interesting. Joe?

Great idea.

One of the Property Investment forums do the same thing to judge the interest in the IP market.

regards,

Kenny

I'm not sure that this would work. I'm often on ASF during what is the middle of the night Australian time and early afternoon the previous day here in Canada (i.e., your Thursday morning is my Wednesday afternoon). Sometimes I'm one of only three or four registered users on-line. Joe would have to frame the search so that it is during daytime hours Monday to Friday. However, the average number of users for a given period might be a useful contrarian indicator, although it would be a much more complicated search.

Time to sell up again Bushman. ASX.G just pointed out that we set a new record for online users recently....

Or does it mean the bottom is in now?
