Maybe ? I suspect these will be the rabid MAGA warriors. Don't know how many of thee drive Teslas@basilio
Yep but unfortunately, there will still be the anything-musk-fandom lovers, idolising every move and word of this wannabe politican.
Geez Bas, why is everything so black and white with you?Have you missed something Mick ? Perhaps the stench around the icon of Tesla ? The fact is that while Tesla cars were/are indeed great products, most people with a conscience don't want to be anywhere near him today.
There is also the fact that many other electric cars and battery systems are high quality products. It isn't hard to find a good value alternative.
Meanwhile those who still drive Teslas and don't want to identified with the behaviour of Elon Musk resort to find the most egregious stickers they can. I suspect VC has nailed the issue with Tesla and Elon Musk. Very few current owners will repurchase the brand. Most people looking for a new EV will look elsewhere.
Unless of course you really love what Elon Musk is doing and also like EV's

They are woke, we can call them that as it is much probably true from most buyers past the initial technology fans but you are 100% right cf politics.Companies spend many millions on their brands, think Red Bull or Nike.
I just think its bad for companies to get involved with politics.
Many of you guys criticised Qantas for supporting The Voice -same thing.
Just puts people off.
In this case, Musk has been involved in other countries politics, Britain and Germany!
Do you think he will get involved in our election when it is announced?
Of course there will be a backlash!
You can call everyone who no longer wants to buy his car woke. Doesn't change the reality. I called this months ago.
Communism and brainless low iq are a scourge of humanity....
Mirror flip....@basilio

EgoIf you're a business man trying to sell a product why would do things to sabotage it and your profits.
They had the chance. Decided to pay him billions instead. Once he bought X, it is obvious (in hindsight) he should have ended his time. They are woke, we can call them that as it is much probably true from most buyers past the initial technology fans but you are 100% right cf politics.
A company should not get involved in politics when it is not relevant to its business.
What is interesting is that Tesla is NOT involved.
Is it?
But Elon is, which show how critical Elon is to Tesla
Tesla and Elon are one, Tesla is Elon
So i doubt it would be possible to sever that association and keep Tesla successful
But my point is the company is nothing wo him, you are involved in a bio Start up if i remember? They had the chance. Decided to pay him billions instead. Once he bought X, it is obvious (in hindsight) he should have ended his time.
He could have been an executive director. New CEO would then be able to distance the company from him.
Bad miss. I am not sure they will survive .

No one is irreplaceable. But my point is the company is nothing wo him, you are involved in a bio Start up if i remember?
I assume innovative tech?
so you should understand anyone replacing Elon will not be able to carry on tesla as the innovative ground breaking company it is.
They will have a cfo, a ceo , a cto but no dream, a board to define priorities and back covering policies attitude
Tesla is Tesla 'cause it is
-Managed by an engineer..so science plus applied tech in one decision making post
-Is funded head over heels..first by the ice car manufacturers via these green vouchers tesla sold them: imagine a Start up earning money even dhen not productive, the dream, then the hype too over via share market
-Has a one man one truth management Nero like: true but efficient.
Getting rid of Elon would be:
(Short time boost to shares great time to get out)
100% first step to oblivion
Note
I own 5 shares since last night
Sure, i can point you to the opposite in IT leading edge company again and againNo one is irreplaceable.
And Apple as a more universally know example than my obscure IT software teyal life ones.Sure, i can point you to the opposite in IT leading edge company again and again
It’s not the Tesla brand that bothers me, I love my car and the charging network, it’s the fact that musk has turned out to be a Turd that bothers me.I find it really odd that people who at one stage sung the praises of all things Tesla, suddenly want to look at other brands because they do not like the new politics of the founder.
Has the quality of the cars changed?
Has the service level declined?
Has the performance level declined?
Has its range declined?
Has its safety rating declined?
Have they stopped emitting dangerous pollutants like Co2?
The answer to all of those is no.
So you have to wonder about the logic of them when they originally bought their Tesla.
Mick
I think Tim Cook has proved that.No one is irreplaceable.
Dude is a caretaker not an innovatorI think Tim Cook has proved that.
He was always a turd just depending on which way you leaned. It’s not the Tesla brand that bothers me, I love my car and the charging network, it’s the fact that musk has turned out to be a Turd that bothers me.
Well, I don’t agree with that, but either way look at the share price since he took over.Dude is a caretaker not an innovator

Seems that Musk is the new Alan Joyce.
