That depends on what one associates the Left with, what one expects a Left political party to actually do.I don't think I'd be the only one who at this point associates Left politics primarily with (in random order) indigenous people, LGBTQIA activism, opposed to heavy industry and manufacturing, disliking cars and urban sprawl, disliking traditional families, advocating employment in low value occupations most notably tourism and services, etc.That Left politics is perceived to have abandoned the working class is the actual reason Trump is US president. Right or wrong, a great many do feel they've been abandoned and the Left needs to accept responsibility for that situation having arisen.
