Trouble with IB trade execution

When placing trades generally before 10:10am I sometimes get the error "Transmitted, not yet acknowledged" and a light blue rectangle next to the trade.

IB describes it more fully as "LIGHT BLUE indicates that you have transmitted your order, but have not yet received confirmation that it has been accepted by the order destination."

Is there anything I can do about this? Is problem caused by the fact the ASX can't handle the traffic at the time or is it an IB problem? Will changing brokers fix or minimise this?

Thanks.

It's because you can't participate in the opening and closing auctions with IB.

Cheers.
I hear what are saying but the market phases according to the ASX say the pre-open is b/w 7:00am - 10:00am and normal trading starts from 10:00am. So after 10:00am should there still be a hold up? Can you explain further? I did a search on IB's web site and came up with nothing on this.

Only some stocks will be open at 10. The rest are phased in on an alphabetical scaling.

I think basically all open by 10.10, and generally the futures trade as if it was fully open from about 10.08.

Took a screen shot of it this morning. IB won't process my trades until after 10:15am.
