How do I find out who the broker is to transfer my CHESS account broker to broker? My original shares were with MYER 15-20 years ago. Since then they have had several incarnations as ColesMyer, Coles and Wesfarmers shares. I want to get them under the same roof with my Commsec sponsored holdings but don't know how to find the broker who is the old CHESS sponsor. Any help?

If you have the share certificates, or know the HIN (Holder Identification Number), then you don't need tho know the broker. Commsec will find it out from the HIN. Simply ask them for a transfer form, enter the share details: code and quantity, and let them take care of the transfer.
The only proviso: The names on both certificates (old and new) must be the same. But even if they don't, it needn't be a problem: Talk to your Commsec officer and explain what you're after. The worst that can happen: You may have to open a new (additional) account with a description that matches the old one, from which you wish to transfer.

Ok. thanks I'll give it a try. The broker to broker form requires the old broker's name but I'll just leave that blank and try it.
Cheers!
