It's Time.
It should be soon.
On the NSW State Election votes Oakeshott and Windsor have lost all credibility in their electorates.
These two muppets, keep the ALP in power, with their ludicrous Carbon Tax and dubious, damaging Refugee Policy.
If they had any honour they would resign, and face the electorate.

I believe Juliar Gillard should now do the honourable thing and call a new election seeking a mandate for her carbon dioxide tax and let the voters decide. If she wins, then the electors will have to ware the extra cost of living, which I might add is already rising at an alarming rate.
If she loses, then she will have been punished for lying before the 2010 election.
I believe she will stall as long as she can, but I cannot see her lasting out this year.
She will refuse to call an early election.
She will have to be forced to do it!
What the trigger is for that early election, I do not know.
Maybe the media will come up with something in the next few days!
Cheers
Let's see, what a choice...
We have Labor sending the country broke and throwing away key industries.
Or we could try the Greens who are simply an even more extreme version of the above.
Or we could try the Liberals who will sell that even remotely looks like a community service or asset amidst a religious undertone to the whole thing.
If ever we needed a real alternative, someone who worships neither unions nor the Bible, it is now.
As for me, well there's no way I could vote Labor after recent goings on. If I wanted a Green government (which I don't, but that's not the point) then I'd vote for an actual Green, rather than the clayton's Greens that Labor choose to become whever it suits them. So that leaves Liberal as the only sensible choice, much as I despise some of their ideas they seem less bad than the alternatives.
Throw in the Abbott factor and i think i will wear the fine.
These next three months, with an election looming in Queensland, and then the Greens controlling the Senate, will prove to be, "interesting times" in which to live.
As Gillard took the leadership, so shall she lose it.
NSW Labor in Sussex St. will reassert itself, and oppose a Carbon tax within the ALP.
The Libs/Nats in WA, Victoria and NSW will wreck the next COAG meeting unless they can be recompensed for the effects of the Carbon tax on their states.
If Queensland falls to the LNP, there will be no choice but for Gillard to go to the people.

Oakshott won't defect. He's too happy where he is.It only needs Oakshot to defect and a new election must be called. If windsor defects with him then Abbott becomes Prime Minister.

Windsor I would suggest now is in pre-retirement mode.
Why would he do that? His own electorate are so disgusted with him, he'd never be re-elected in a new election. Additionally, I don't believe Mr Oakeshott is sufficiently principled to do any such thing, unless he (very unlikely) has an attack of conscience for how he has forsaken his electorate's wishes. It only needs Oakshot to defect and a new election must be called.
On principle, this is probably more likely imo. Tony Windsor doesn't care as much about the future because he has made it clear he will be retiring at the end of this term. So he could perhaps be more likely to throw a spanner in Labor's works if he genuinely believes they are not acting in the national interest. If windsor defects with him then Abbott becomes Prime Minister.
Interesting thought. And I reckon Mr Rudd is still (and understandably) so dirty towards his colleagues that if he did have the chance of a UN position , he wouldn't think twice about leaving the government in trouble. Might be very sweet revenge.A by-election would also be neccessary if Rudd quits to join the UN at the end of the year and that may also throw the cat among the pidgeons.
Yes, Mr O'Farrell has made his opposition to the carbon tax very clear. Good for him. Colin Barnett is also opposed to pretty much everything the Feds suggest and will fight them hard on the mining tax in particular.NSW Labor in Sussex St. will reassert itself, and oppose a Carbon tax within the ALP.
The Libs/Nats in WA, Victoria and NSW will wreck the next COAG meeting unless they can be recompensed for the effects of the Carbon tax on their states.
Do you think so? Why? She doesn't need the agreement of the State leaders to get the legislation through federal parliament, does she?If Queensland falls to the LNP, there will be no choice but for Gillard to go to the people.
I reckon much of the country feels the same way: disgusted with all the options so opting for the least worst.Let's see, what a choice...

Agree. He is absolutely history as an independent and rightly so, two timer that he is. If I were in his electorate I'd be furious. And I suppose Oakeshott could easily switch to labor if he wants to continue his political career. I doubt he would ever be trusted again as an independent especially in a conservative electorate.

Agreed. And that is why I DON'T want an election right now. I want labor gone, but the alternatives don't look any better. I am totally opposed to the greens policies and I don't think I could swallow Abbot as my PM.
Best thing would be if the libs quickly get a decent leader and then we can go to the polls.
"Keneally sighed, rolled her eyes, huffed and frowned through the interview. It was like talking to a teenager who had been dragged out of her bedroom to meet the booooring heighbours"
Barry O'Farrell will be a strong Premier, and will show Tony Abbott how it's done (no love lost between these two).
