I used to be able to read the first couple of lines on a thread by hovering the mouse over the topic, this does not happen any more. Has the site been changed, or is it my computor?

This appears to be a problem from your end as this feature has not been altered or turned off and was working for me a few moments ago.

If anyone else is having problems with the "thread preview" feature please let me know in this thread.
 
Yep, it's been off for me for a couple of months now as well.

its fine for me. still able to previewthe 1st few lines of the post.
 
Nope not for me, but I'm used to it now so no biggie...
 
do you have java scripting disabled? It's a setting that you can enable/disable in the options.

or alternatively, do you have an add-on such as NoScript (for Firefox) which disables java scripting as well?

This may account for you being unable to view the thread preview.
 
hmmm i had a qick look under options but i couldn't find it.

Can you spell out the path to take?

 
I just checked and I don't think that scripting is the problem. However, to access it

Internet Explorer
go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom level
scroll down to Scripting and check if Active Scripting is enabled

Firefox
go to Tools > Options > Content
check if Java Scripting is ticked
